PHI MRO Services has announced a new lease agreement to provide a Bell 407 helicopter to tour and charter company New York Helicopter.<\/p>\n
The Lafayette-based helicopter maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) company will outfit the aircraft with floats, air conditioning and a custom paint scheme.<\/p>\n
Cory Clark, Director of Business Development for PHI MRO Services, said the agreement was significant for both companies.<\/p>\n
“This lease agreement marks a significant milestone for both PHI MRO Services and New York Helicopter, and we are delighted to supply one of our Bell 407 helicopters to their fleet,” Mr Clark said.<\/p>\n
As part of the deal, PHI will provide component support through its MRO division.<\/p>\n
Michael Roth, owner of New York Helicopter, said the new aircraft would allow the company to expand its operations.<\/p>\n
“This new helicopter will allow us to expand our capabilities and continue to provide world-class tours and charters to the New York area,” Mr Roth said.<\/p>\n
Jason Costello, Director of Operations for New York Helicopter, praised PHI MRO Services’ support.<\/p>\n
“Working with PHI MRO Services has been phenomenal. They have gone out of their way to make sure the helicopter was configured the way we needed,” Mr Costello said.<\/p>\n
PHI MRO Services maintains a fleet of over 200 helicopters and offers lease-ready aircraft to global operators.<\/p>\n
The company’s 170,000 square foot facility provides services including major inspections, modifications, upgrades, painting and upholstery.<\/p>\n
