Embraer will provide advanced flight training solutions for the Royal Netherlands Air Force’s C-390 Millennium aircraft program.<\/p>\n
The package includes a full flight simulator and cargo handling station trainer developed with Rheinmetall, plus computer-based training developed with ETI.<\/p>\n
All training systems are expected to be operational by late 2026.<\/p>\n
Embraer Services & Support President and CEO Carlos Naufel said the company had customised the training solutions for Dutch requirements.<\/p>\n
“We have tailored these solutions aiming on every detail needed by the Royal Netherlands Air Force, and we are looking forward to deepening our relationship even more in the coming years,” Naufel said.<\/p>\n
The Level-D qualifiable flight simulator will simulate both normal and emergency conditions, supporting military operations with over 350 malfunction scenarios.<\/p>\n
Rheinmetall’s Head of Sales for Aviation Systems Stefan Klaes said the equipment would provide realistic training.<\/p>\n
“The C-390 training devices will enable the Royal Netherlands Air Force to prepare and train their missions in a most realistic environment,” Klaes said.<\/p>\n
The cargo handling station trainer will use advanced visual technology to provide interior and exterior aircraft views for crew training.<\/p>\n
Computer-based training will deliver theoretical instruction through a learning management system compatible with SCORM technology.<\/p>\n
The C-390 Millennium fleet has accumulated more than 15,000 flight hours globally, achieving a 93 per cent mission capability rate.<\/p>\n
The aircraft has been selected by Austria, Brazil, the Czech Republic, Hungary, the Netherlands, Portugal and South Korea.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
